Allison Holker has voiced her frustration over the swirling rumors about her late husband, Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss, and his relationship with Ellen DeGeneres following the conclusion of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Reports had suggested that the dancer and the talk show host drifted apart after the show ended in May 2022, but Holker is setting the record straight.
In her memoir, This Far, Holker made it clear that DeGeneres had been an inspiration to Boss, putting an end to speculation about any supposed falling out between them.
During a promotional interview with People magazine, Holker opened up about various aspects of her book, including her childhood, her love story with tWitch, their children, and the rumors that surfaced after his passing. Addressing the speculation head-on, she expressed her disappointment, stating, “I don’t love when I see rumors flying around, and it was really disappointing for me to see that people tried bringing Ellen into the situation and targeting her.”
She went on to praise DeGeneres, emphasizing the deep bond she and tWitch shared. “Ellen’s wonderful, and she’s always been a support system. If anything, she was a great example for Stephen. They had a great relationship, and he cherished that connection. It was something truly special, and I hope people recognize that instead of trying to tear it down.”
In the months following Boss’s tragic passing, DeGeneres, along with friends like Derek Hough, Robin Antin, and Loni Love, gathered to honor his memory and pay tribute to his life and legacy.
tWitch first joined The Ellen DeGeneres Show as a DJ in 2014, eventually becoming a permanent fixture on the show and a fan favorite. He passed away in December 2022 at the age of 40, leaving behind a legacy of joy, talent, and positivity.
