The Days of Our Lives episode from February 5, 2024, finally unravels the truth behind the eerie events affecting the Body & Soul cast and crew, with Abe at the center of the revelation.
Abe confronts the mastermind behind the chaos—Nurse Whitley. When he finds her in a hidden room, she turns to face him, unapologetically confessing that she orchestrated the incidents because of her deep love for the show. She blames Abe for ruining it and insists that her actions were necessary.
Whitley admits to targeting Bonnie first, revealing that she tracked her phone number and shooting schedule. She claims that Bonnie and Kayla had to be eliminated because they weren’t Kassandra, the character she fixated on. In a chilling confession, she declares that the show was her lifeline when she had lost everything and that she “took care of every last cast member.”
She then unveils a vial of an experimental drug with dangerous side effects, explaining that she laced fake scripts with it while wearing gloves, poisoning the cast and crew. Just as she prepares to make Abe her next victim, Paulina arrives just in time to thwart her plan.
Meanwhile, at Steve and Kayla’s place, Steve desperately calls 911 as Kayla lies unconscious. At the DiMera house, Chanel rushes Johnny to the hospital after calling for emergency assistance.
At the hospital, Seth vents to Sarah about his abrupt exit from Body & Soul, complaining that his departure was unceremonious despite being a fan favorite. Mid-rant, he collapses into a chair, prompting Sarah to check on him.
As Steve and Sarah analyze Seth and Kayla’s symptoms, they suspect poisoning. Sarah urgently requests lab results and later deduces that the fake scripts were the source of the toxin. She administers an antidote to Johnny, who, along with Chanel, expresses gratitude. She then visits Kayla’s room to reassure Steve that the antidote should restore her health.
Elsewhere, Alex regains consciousness at home, and a paramedic advises Stephanie to monitor him closely.
Over in Leo’s hotel room, he initially believes Hattie is playing dead as a joke. But when he checks her pulse and finds none, he somberly praises her and reminisces about their time together. Just as he expresses how much he’ll miss her, Hattie suddenly wakes up and scolds him for his dramatic display. A relieved Leo calls 911, and after the paramedics confirm she’s stable, he realizes how much he truly cares for her, leading to an emotional embrace.
Back with Whitley, she begins speaking about Body & Soul character Henry Marshall, mistaking Abe for his twin. She references Pineview, and in response, Abe cryptically tells her, “We will always have Pineview.”
