Jay Leno reunites with Tim Allen on ABC’s Shifting Gears after recovering from his injury

Jay Leno is set to make a highly anticipated return to TV on Shifting Gears with his longtime friend Tim Allen, just months after recovering from a serious accident. Leno will guest-star as himself in the March 12 episode of the father-daughter comedy series, marking a joyful reunion with Allen. In the episode preview, the duo can be seen smiling widely in front of a classic car, promising a fun-filled appearance.

This return follows a challenging period for Leno, who was involved in an accident in November. He fell down a steep hill while walking to a restaurant and sustained a broken wrist, missing fingernail, and bruising. In an interview with TMZ, Leno described the fall, humorously noting that he underestimated the steepness of the hill and ended up rolling down it, hitting his head on a rock in the process.

Leno and Allen have a long history of working together, having previously collaborated on Last Man Standing, where Leno played a retired auto technician. Their comedic chemistry and shared love for cars have made their on-screen reunions a treat for fans.

In this Shifting Gears episode, Riley (Kat Dennings) is shocked when she finds weed gummies in Carter’s (Maxwell Simkins) pocket, leading to surprising advice from Matt (Tim Allen). Meanwhile, Eve causes trouble by inadvertently landing Gabriel (Seann William Scott) and Stitch (Daryl Mitchell) in hot water after asking them to donate to a charity auction.

Fans of the duo can catch the episode on ABC or stream it on Hulu.
