Handmaid’s Tale Season 6: Has Hulu Announced A Release Date

Fans of The Handmaid’s Tale can finally breathe a sigh of relief as filming for the highly anticipated sixth and final season has officially wrapped. This marks the end of a journey that began in 2017 and captivated audiences worldwide. The announcement came from stars like O.T. Fagbenle (Luke) and Amanda Brugel (Rita), who both took to Instagram to share the exciting news, according to People magazine.

Although Hulu has yet to confirm the exact release date for Season 6, it’s safe to say that the premiere is getting closer. The final season was initially expected to begin production in 2023 with a fall 2024 release, but delays due to industry strikes pushed the timeline back.

As for the storyline, details are still under wraps, but Elizabeth Moss, who portrays June, teased in an interview with TV Line that Season 6 will be “big and wild” and filled with “final-season energy.” Moss hinted that the season will take viewers to unexpected places and feature plenty of surprises throughout.

For now, fans eager for the conclusion can rewatch the first five seasons of The Handmaid’s Tale on Hulu as they wait for the final chapter.
