Natasha Rothwell, who reprises her role as Belinda Lindsey in The White Lotus Season 3, has expressed how much she misses working with Jennifer Coolidge, especially after Coolidge’s dramatic exit in Season 2. Rothwell, who shared a meaningful connection with Coolidge’s character, Tanya McQuoid, in Season 1, fondly reminisced about Coolidge’s “great energy” and how her presence on set was something she truly valued. Rothwell even admitted that Coolidge was someone she couldn’t work without, highlighting their unique on-screen chemistry.
Belinda and Tanya’s storyline in Season 1 left a lasting impression, with Belinda’s dreams of opening a wellness center being crushed by Tanya’s sudden departure. Rothwell shared that she was a huge fan of the show herself, especially when she witnessed Tanya’s shocking death in Season 2. She recalled how she screamed and texted Coolidge right away in disbelief, showcasing just how deeply connected she felt to the show’s plot twists.
While filming Season 3 without Coolidge, Rothwell found a new sense of camaraderie with her new co-stars like Parker Posey, Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, and Jason Isaacs, bonding over shared experiences on location. Despite the absence of her former co-star, Rothwell still enjoyed the new dynamics that the latest season brought.
Jennifer Coolidge, on the other hand, has voiced her disappointment about not appearing in Season 3, joking that she’s “not a good sport about it.” However, she’s eagerly anticipating the surprises that the series will continue to bring, teasing fans with the promise of more drama ahead.
The White Lotus Season 3 premiered on February 16, 2025, on HBO and Max.
