Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed a charge sheet, on Tuesday, against 22 people including former CM of Haryana, Bhupinder Hooda in the Panchkula land scam case.
Among those in the charge sheet are four retired IAS officers. 14 plots worth Rs.30 crore were given to Hooda’s associates in 2013. The ED started the investigation in 2015 because of an FIR filed by Haryana vigilance bureau. Hooda, according to the investigation, favoured the acquaintances illegally when he was the chairman of Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA). The four retired IAS officers are Subhash Chandra Kansal, Dharam Pal Singh Nagal, Surjit Singh and Narendra Kumar Solanki.
The criteria for allotment according to the investigation was altered to fit the acquaintances. The 14 plots have been attached by the ED according to the provisions of Prevention of Money Laundering Act in 2019.
