Pakistan PM Imran Khan to visit Sri Lanka, might want support for J&K stance: Report

The Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has planned a two-day visit starting February 22 to Sri Lanka.

This visit is suspected as a tactic to gain friendship with Sri Lanka and use that against India according to a report by News hub.ik. The visit happens to correspond with the 46th session of the United Nations Human Rights Commission (UNHRC). The session is to be held in Geneva and is likely to see a new resolution on Sri Lanka. Imran Khan also seems to divert attention from the economic crisis in his country and from the political pressure he is facing from the opposition by this visit.

The Pakistan PM has been silent about many things in the recent past with regard to Sri Lanka, including the activities of the ISI and their association with BodhuBalaSena for the promotion of radical Islamic terrorism. The group is funded by Saudi Arabia.
