Madharaasi, starring Sivakarthikeyan, is getting ready for its September 5, 2025, theatrical debut. It looks like the movie has reached an agreement with a significant OTT platform as the producers get ready to release the trailer.
The current social media craze claims that Madharaasi’s creators have reached an OTT agreement with Amazon Prime Video. Following its theatrical run, the film will be streamed on the site. Furthermore, rumours have it that the ZED Network has purchased the movie’s satellite rights.
The producers haven’t yet made an official announcement, though. Regarding the Sivakarthikeyan film, Madharaasi’s producers are preparing for a huge trailer premiere. The date of the event is set on August 24, 2025. At the audio premiere, the team will also reveal the whole soundtrack in addition to the teaser. The creators have verified this on their official social media account.
Sharing the update, they shared, “Get ready for a star-studded evening. #Madharaasi Audio & Trailer launch event on August 24th. Grand release worldwide on September 5th.”
Sivakarthikeyan plays the lead in the upcoming Tamil-language action film Madharaasi. Although the story’s entire narrative is unknown, it is said to be set in northern India and centres on a man dealing with a tragedy that will change his life. Biju Menon, Rukmini Vasanth, and Vidyut Jammwal play co-lead roles in the movie alongside SK.
The film is the filmmaker AR Murugadoss’ first Tamil film in five years, after Darbar (2020), starring Rajinikanth. Additionally, it is reported that Sanjay, Vikranth, Prem Kumar, Shabeer Kallarakkal, and many others play important roles. Anirudh Ravichander is the composer of the movie’s soundtrack.
The last time we saw Sivakarthikeyan, he played the lead in the biographical film Amaran. Sai Pallavi co-starred in the Rajkumar Perisamy-directed movie, which was a huge box office success. The actor is now working on the Sudha Kongara-directed film Parasakthi.
The anti-Hindi agitation campaign that occurred in Tamil Nadu in the 1960s is said to be the film’s central theme. Ravi Mohan is the primary adversary in the historical drama, while Sreeleela (making her Tamil debut) and Atharvaa Murali play important parts.
