Teja Sajja urges fans to fight piracy as Mirai crosses ₹100 crore in five days

At a success event in Hyderabad, Teja Sajja opened up about piracy threats to Mirai and requested audiences to experience the fantasy adventure only in theatres.

Teja Sajja’s latest fantasy action drama Mirai has turned into a massive hit, racing past the ₹100 crore worldwide mark within just five days of release. Directed by Karthik Gattamneni, the film stars Teja alongside Manchu Manoj, Ritika Nayak, and Shriya Saran. To celebrate the milestone, the team held a grand event in Hyderabad, where Teja made an important appeal to his fans.

Addressing the audience, Teja revealed that attempts were being made to pirate Mirai online through various platforms, including Instagram and YouTube. He said, “I have to tell you something really important today. In many sites online, including Instagram and YouTube, attempts are being made to upload the film. But, I have a strong feeling that this film can be best enjoyed in a theatre with the audience. I am trusting the audience not to give in to piracy and watch this only in theatres. You’re missing out on an experience if you don’t watch it in theatres, it won’t be the same on TV or phone.”

The actor also shared that he had ensured ticket prices were kept affordable, so more families could enjoy the film on the big screen. “Before the film’s release, I requested producer Vishwa Prasad garu and distributors not to increase the ticket prices for this film. It’s because I wanted people to enjoy it at the theatres with their families. We have holidays coming up, I promise you will have a fantastic visual experience at the theatres,” he explained.

During the event, Teja also took a moment to extend best wishes to upcoming Telugu releases. Speaking about Sujeeth’s They Call Him OG, starring Pawan Kalyan and Emraan Hashmi, which releases on September 25, and Neeraja Kona’s Telusu Kada, featuring Siddhu Jonnalagadda, Raashii Khanna and Srinidhi Shetty, releasing on October 17, he said, “At the same time, we have OG releasing next week. We are all waiting for it. We are also waiting for Telusu Kada from People Media Factory (Mirai’s production house). I wish them all the very best.”
