Amaal Mallik, one of the contestants on Bigg Boss 19, recently opened up about his family’s painful history, making revelations that caught viewers’ attention. Speaking to his co-contestant Baseer Ali, the music composer recalled the struggles of his mother and the betrayal faced by his father, Daboo Malik.
Amaal said his mother suffered greatly while living in a joint family when she was pregnant with him. According to him, she was constantly taunted and made to work hard despite her condition. “People say, I abuse a lot. I have a womb trauma, boss. Meri mom ko bahut kuch sunaya gaya when she was pregnant with me. They used to make her work a lot. One day, she smashed her hand on a cupboard in anger. She went through all this to make us reach where we are today,” Amaal shared, adding that her sacrifices left a lasting impact on his life.
He also accused his uncle, Anu Malik, of deliberately hurting his father’s career. Amaal alleged that Anu once tricked Daboo Malik into recording a track that had already been sung by Udit Narayan years earlier. Calling his uncle an “evil heart,” he said his father never recovered from the betrayal and the family continued to suffer because of it.
