Rajat Bedi praises Aryan Khan’s hard work; says Shah Rukh Khan’s son earned his success

After working with Aryan Khan on his directorial debut series The Ba***ds of Bollywood, actor Rajat Bedi shared how the young filmmaker’s dedication and talent not privilege shaped the project’s success, calling him witty, passionate, and self-driven.

Actor Rajat Bedi, who returned to the spotlight after nearly 15 years with Aryan Khan’s directorial debut The Ba***ds of Bollywood, has nothing but admiration for the young filmmaker. Speaking about his experience, Rajat revealed that Aryan is not only playful and witty off camera but also deeply committed to his craft.

Dispelling long-standing assumptions that Aryan got everything easily because of his superstar father Shah Rukh Khan, Rajat clarified that the project’s success is entirely due to Aryan’s own hard work. “The boy has worked really hard. Please don’t ever feel that he is Shah Rukh’s son and got everything on a platter. He doesn’t sleep; he’s constantly working. He shoots on his phone with his friends and experiments with ideas,” Rajat shared.

Interestingly, Rajat agreed to join the project even before a script was ready. “It was just a thought in Aryan’s head. He told me, ‘I’m going to write it, but I want you for this character,’” the Koi… Mil Gaya actor recalled.

Responding to the debate around star kids, Rajat emphasized that no amount of privilege can replace talent and effort. “A star can bring his child up to the camera, but in front of it or behind it, the child has to prove themselves. That’s exactly what Aryan did,” he said proudly.
