Ayushmann Khurrana is getting ready for Thamma, his next movie. Aparshakti Khurana, the actor’s younger brother, is also a Bollywood actor who has acted in a number of films, such as Bhediya, Pati Patni Aur Woh, and Stree 2. Ayushmann has since stated that he thinks their professional paths cannot be compared because each was accomplished on its own.
“I think it’s beautiful,” Ayushmann said at the FICCI Frames event.
“He had no intention of becoming an actor in the first place. He captained the Haryana under-19 team and aspired to play cricket. He has even participated in national competitions. He decided to be an actor all of a sudden, and his history made him a natural. He is deeply rooted and speaks Punjabi and Haryanvi. He always had a sense of humour, but his solemn Bengali demeanour shocked everyone. But I always knew he had that in him, so I wasn’t shocked.”
“I truly think that there is no way to compare the two of us,” he continued.
“He finds great satisfaction in his work. He does ten different things in a single day, and success is hard to quantify. He is an excellent musician and a born athlete. He travels frequently and makes the most of his life. He is, in my opinion, much more successful than I am.”
In the 2016 movie Dangal, Aparshakti Khurana made his acting debut as the main characters’ cousin in a supporting role. Ayushmann, meanwhile, made his Bollywood acting debut in the romantic comedy Vicky Donor (2012), which was helmed by Shoojit Sircar. The Maddock Horror-Comedy Universe, which started with Stree and includes related films like Bhediya and Munjya, continues with his next feature, Thamma. It will be released in theatres on October 21 and stars Rashmika Mandanna as well.
