According to authorities from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma is expected to take action against a Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) in relation to a slapping incident that occurred at a petrol pump in Bhilwara on Tuesday. Additionally, an official suspension order is anticipated soon.
This comes after three employees of the Bhilwara petrol station were freed after being detained on Wednesday night for reportedly fighting with Pratapgarh SDM Chhotulal Sharma. Following the establishment of tranquilly at the scene, they were freed on Thursday. They were detained to keep the peace because no formal complaint had been filed, according to Bhilwara Superintendent of Police (SP) Dharmendra Singh.
SDM Sharma reportedly assaulted a petrol pump station employee at the Ajmer-Bhilwara national highway in Jaswantpura for acting inappropriately with his wife, Deepika Vyas, according to police officers. “Deepika reported to us that one of the employees had inappropriately gazed at her. The worker and two other people started attacking Chhotulal when he confronted them, according to SP Singh.
On CCTV, however, Sharma was seen slapping the worker. According to Sharma, the video was altered afterwards. Following the incident, police detained Raja Sharma, Prabhu Lal Kumawat, and Deepak Mali, three employees, for disturbing the peace on Wednesday night. Reports have been filed by both parties.
As required by Section 173(3) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), a preliminary investigation is being carried out in both reports. So far, nothing has been done. The CCTV video and the roles played by each side in the case are being closely examined,” Singh stated.
