Thamma, the most recent horror-comedy starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna, is still doing well at the box office. According to Sacnilk.com, the movie has so far made about ₹1.66 crore India net on its sixteenth day in all languages.
With a solid start and steady hold through its second week, Thamma’s total domestic collection now stands at ₹125.71 crore, indicating a commercial triumph. Due in major part to the Hindi adaptation, the movie opened to an amazing ₹24 crore on its first day. During the week, collections decreased a little, reaching ₹10 crore by Friday.
But over the weekend, Thamma gained pace, earning ₹13.1 crore on Saturday and ₹12.6 crore on Sunday, bringing its first-week total to ₹108.4 crore. The movie held steady in its second week, earning an additional ₹15.9 crore. Before experiencing a downturn during the week, the second weekend was stable.
Despite a slow fall in daily numbers, the film’s cumulative total reached ₹125.43 crore by its third Wednesday, indicating excellent opening momentum. The occupancy trends in Thamma were stable but moderate compared to other major Indian cities. While Pune (15.67%), Hyderabad (13.67%), and Lucknow (15.67%) performed marginally above average, Mumbai and the National Capital Region (NCR) ranged between 14 and 15%.
Despite having fewer screens, Chennai had the highest occupancy rate at 40%. While tier-2 markets like Jaipur, Surat, and Bhopal stayed in the 12–14% range, cities like Bengaluru (11%), Ahmedabad (12%), and Chandigarh (10.67%) witnessed somewhat lower attendance.
On October 21, 2025, the darkly humorous supernatural thriller Thamma, which was directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and produced by Maddock Films, was released. Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Paresh Rawal play important parts in the movie.
Thamma, which takes place in Maddock’s growing horror-comedy universe, centers on Alok (Ayushmann Khurrana), a journalist who meets Tadaka (Rashmika Mandanna), an enigmatic woman from an ancient clan of Betals, creatures resembling fabled vampires. What starts off as an odd meeting develops into a story of love, metamorphosis, and conflict with the dangerous Betal chief Yakshashan (Nawazuddin Siddiqui).
