Air Cargo only place where aviation sector is going well in 2021

Air cargo is the only sector that is doing well when it comes to the aviation sector after the COVID-19 pandemic hit the sector.

This is because of the increase in online shopping, vaccine distribution and timely supply chains. Before the pandemic, 60% of all capacity of air cargo were by passenger planes. In 2020, this capacity shrank to almost 25% because of the pandemic according to a report by Sanford C. Berstein. As of now, it is uncertain if the demand for air cargo will last once passenger planes are back on air in a full capacity like before the pandemic.

Bernstein’s report says that the passenger planes will take some time to get up while handling their balance sheets. Till the planes are back up, the air cargo will enjoy heavy traffic for the transport of goods and services.
