Box office update: Shehnaaz Gill’s Ikk Kudi maintains positive trend, inches closer to ₹10 crore worldwide

The Punjabi movie Ikk Kudi has shown a very encouraging trend at the box office, both domestically and internationally. In its second weekend, the Shehnaaz Gill film brought in about Rs. 3.50 crore worldwide. Both local and international markets for the movie showed comparable growth, with both almost doubling their first weekend.

On the second Sunday of its first weekend in India, the movie essentially equalled. After the second weekend, the global box office gross was Rs. 9 crore. The split between domestic and foreign sources is Rs. 3.25 crore and Rs. 5.75 crore (USD 650K), respectively. Particularly domestically, the statistics are still low, but the extremely good trend provides it a chance.

The Punjabi film industry has had a bad year, particularly at home. Two of the three international blockbusters were prohibited from being distributed in India, and the third did not do well. In an otherwise challenging year, it would be encouraging if this movie could make some money.
