Kajol has once again sparked an interesting conversation, this time about the institution of marriage. During her appearance on Two Much with Twinkle and Kajol, the actor shared her honest opinion that marriages should come with an expiry date and a renewal option. Her remark has since set social media buzzing with debates on commitment and changing relationship values.
The discussion began when Twinkle Khanna asked, “Should marriage have an expiry date and a renewal option?” Kajol instantly agreed, explaining her viewpoint with calm confidence. “I definitely think so. What guarantees that you’ll marry the right person at the right time? A renewal option would make sense, and if there’s an expiry date, no one has to suffer for too long,” she said. While Kajol stood by her opinion, others on the panel, including Twinkle, Vicky Kaushal, and Kriti Sanon, disagreed.
Around the same time, her husband Ajay Devgn opened up about how love has evolved in today’s generation. Speaking during a chat with R Madhavan on BookMyShow’s YouTube channel for De De Pyaar De 2, Ajay said, “Love has become more casual now. The word is used so loosely that it has lost its depth. In our time, saying ‘I love you’ meant something big. Now every message ends with a heart emoji or the word love.” Madhavan agreed, adding that earlier generations valued emotional sincerity much more.
Despite their differing takes on love and marriage, Kajol and Ajay Devgn continue to be one of Bollywood’s most admired couples. Over the years, they have shared screen space in popular films like Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha, Raju Chacha, and Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. Parents to daughter Nysa and son Yug, they often credit respect and understanding as the foundation of their long-lasting relationship.
