Delhi Police unveils traffic plan for 44th India international trade fair at Pragati Maidan

For the 44th India International Trade Fair (IITF), which will take place at Pragati Maidan from November 14 to November 27, Delhi Police released comprehensive parking and traffic plans. According to a traffic alert, the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) is hosting this year’s expo, which attracts a sizable number of corporate and public visitors.

According to Delhi Traffic Police, regular flow around the area has frequently been held down in previous editions of the event due to excessive pedestrian and vehicle traffic. According to the advise, 245 traffic police officers have been stationed in three shifts to control traffic in and around Pragati Maidan throughout the exhibition.

It further stated that three crisis management vehicles, sixteen motorcycle patrol units, and fifteen cranes have been stationed nearby. Officers from ITPO, Delhi Traffic Police, and the employees assigned to the fair attended a preparedness briefing on November 13 at Bharat Mandapam, according to the report.

The advice further stated that certain entry gates have been set aside for exhibitors, business visitors, media representatives, VVIP and protocol guests, and ITPO officials. Directional signboards for parking, entry, and departure have been installed, and guest parking lots have been marked. Advisory boards have been erected in accordance with the declaration of “No Parking” and “Tow Away” zones surrounding the site, according to Delhi Traffic Police.

In order to aid and guide visitors, six traffic help desks have been set up in the region. A Delhi Traffic Police awareness stall will be erected inside the trade show to encourage road safety and raise public awareness of traffic laws, according to the advice.

To manage plans during the fair, a dedicated traffic control room has been set up in the ITPO Admin Block. According to Rajeev Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic New Delhi Range, the plans are intended to make it easier for both tourists and frequent drivers to move around.
