Pregnant Bharti Singh voices concern over high sugar levels despite following a strict diet

Comedian Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa revealed their second pregnancy in October. Bharti provided an update on her health in one of her most recent vlogs, disclosing that she was concerned about her baby’s wellbeing because her blood sugar levels had unexpectedly risen.

Bharti disclosed that she discovered her blood sugar levels were higher than normal when she examined them prior to breakfast. “I am perplexed because I am not even eating anything sweet,” she continued.

“In the morning, I only have one cup of tea with jaggery. I’m feeling irate. Why is this occurring? Haarsh is also out of town; last night, he had to travel to Dubai for work, and I am really lonely without him. I’m avoiding foods that could raise or cause my blood sugar levels to rise. I’m not even under any stress.”

“I have been extremely particular about my diet; I only eat millets and have completely cut off rotis, rice, and other forms of carbs, so I don’t know why my sugar has gone so high,” she added, adding that the doctor would now chastise her for the elevated levels.

“I don’t know, therefore I’m very concerned. All I want is for it to have no negative impact on my child.” Bharti revealed that even though she had been closely monitoring her diet and making sure she didn’t go against the doctor’s recommendations for several weeks, her blood sugar levels continued to rise. She ended up eating three rotis instead of her typical millets since she was so frustrated.

Bharti and Haarsh dated for a short time before getting married in a small ceremony in 2017. The couple revealed their second pregnancy in October 2025 after welcoming their first child, Laksh, in 2021. To make the announcement, they posted a sweet photo from their trip to Switzerland.

Bharti and Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi will shortly make a comeback as hosts of Laughter Chefs Season 3. Tejasswi Prakash, Karan Kundrra, Elvish Yadav, Isha Malviya, Aly Goni, Jannat Zubair, Abhishek Kumar, Gurmeet Choudhary, Debina Bonerjee, Krushna Abhishek, Kashmera Shah, Vivian Dsena, and Eisha Singh are among the other cast members. The show will debut on Colours TV on November 22.
