Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana continues to be one of Bollywood’s most anticipated films, and excitement is only rising as the cast shares their experiences from the set. The film features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman. The first part is expected to release next Diwali, and the team has already made headlines for the dedication and sacrifices involved in the making of the project.
Ajinkya Deo, a respected actor in both Hindi and Marathi cinema, will be seen as Sage Vishwamitra, the mentor of Lord Rama. Speaking with Varinder Chawla’s team, Ajinkya opened up about his interactions with Ranbir Kapoor and described their time together as deeply positive.
He shared that Ranbir immediately made him feel welcomed on set. According to Ajinkya, Ranbir would often compliment him after a shot, saying things like, “Sir, beautiful shot yaar.” Ajinkya recalled how Ranbir genuinely appreciated his fitness and work, even joking about how things would be when he reached Ajinkya’s age. For Ajinkya, these gestures reflected Ranbir’s sincerity.
Calling Ranbir “very pure at heart,” Ajinkya said the actor has no filters in his behaviour, whether with co-stars or crew members. He believes this honesty is one of Ranbir’s biggest strengths, helping him build an instant connection with audiences. Ajinkya added that unlike the stars of earlier decades who maintained distance, Ranbir brings a refreshing openness that feels natural both on and off screen.
With such camaraderie on set, Ramayana: Part 1 is expected to bring not only a grand story but also powerful performances shaped by mutual respect among its cast.
