Huma Qureshi disagrees with Kajol and Twinkle Khanna on cheating debate; says ‘there are no free passes’

Huma Qureshi has reacted to Kajol and Twinkle Khanna’s views on infidelity, stating that she does not support the idea of excusing physical cheating and believes relationships must be clear and honest.

The discussion around infidelity in relationships has taken a fresh turn after actor Huma Qureshi voiced her disagreement with Kajol and Twinkle Khanna. The two senior actors recently sparked debate during an episode of Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle, where they suggested that physical cheating could be treated differently from emotional cheating. Their comments invited strong reactions online, and now Huma has added her perspective to the ongoing conversation.

Speaking on Shubhankar Mishra’s podcast, Huma shared a straightforward opinion. She said she does not understand the distinction between emotional and physical cheating and considers both equally unacceptable. Calling herself “old-school,” Huma explained, “Cheating is cheating, what is physical or emotional in it? What is emotional cheating?”

When the host reminded her that Kajol and Twinkle felt physical cheating could sometimes be forgiven because “mistakes happen,” Huma firmly disagreed. She said she does not believe in offering such allowances in committed relationships. “I am very black and white in these matters. Either don’t be with someone. But if you are, what is this free pass? I don’t understand these things,” she stated. She even joked that if someone is caught cheating, “you will be beaten up.”

The debate began when Janhvi Kapoor and Karan Johar appeared on Two Much in October. When asked whether emotional cheating is worse than physical cheating, Janhvi called physical infidelity a deal breaker. Kajol and Twinkle, however, suggested that one could “move on” from physical mistakes, with Twinkle saying, “Raat gayi, baat gayi.” Janhvi stood her ground, insisting that such incidents cannot simply be dismissed.

Huma’s comments have now reignited the conversation, adding another strong voice to the argument over where boundaries should lie in modern relationships.
