Amitabh Bachchan left emotional as Jaideep Ahlawat and Manoj Bajpayee share heartfelt stories on KBC

The Family Man 3 cast visited Kaun Banega Crorepati, where Jaideep Ahlawat revealed a village tradition celebrating Big B’s films, while Manoj Bajpayee recalled his unforgettable first meeting with Amitabh Bachchan.

A recent episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati turned unexpectedly emotional and heartwarming as the cast of The Family Man 3 joined Amitabh Bachchan on stage. What began as a promotional appearance soon transformed into a tribute-filled moment when actors Jaideep Ahlawat and Manoj Bajpayee shared personal stories connected to the superstar.

Jaideep Ahlawat stunned Amitabh Bachchan with a memory from his childhood. He explained that in his village, every time a baby was born, the celebrations included screening Bachchan’s iconic films like Deewar, Zanjeer, and Don. He said he has probably watched each of them over a hundred times because of this unique tradition. The admiration didn’t end with films. Jaideep added that during every festive occasion  from Holi to Diwali  the villagers would play the complete Sholay audio cassette, listening to every dialogue and track as part of their celebrations.

Manoj Bajpayee, who appeared on the show with Sharib Hashmi to promote The Family Man 3, brought a humorous and emotional anecdote of his own. He revisited his first ever encounter with Bachchan, which happened nearly three decades ago during a screening of Satya. A journalist had coaxed him out of his car and locked it, leaving him no choice but to meet Amitabh. Nervous and overwhelmed, Manoj ran to the washroom and shut himself inside.

When he finally stepped out, he found Abhishek Bachchan waiting for him. Moments later, Amitabh himself walked up to him, leaving Manoj speechless. He recalled how Big B gently held his hand and spoke to him, prompting him to finally ask, “Sir… may I hug you?” Amitabh agreed with a smile, giving him the warm embrace he had dreamed of.
