Sunrisers Hyderabad who currently stand last in the points table in the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League are set to strengthen their side by adding the Kiwi skipper Kane Williamson to the squad.
Williamson has not played a single match in the IPL 2021. So far, SRH’s batting has been completely reliable on their Skipper David Warner and Jonny Bairstow. Having Williamson on their side will add up a potential batting back up to the team. This will also ease some pressure from the expected batters.
However, Kane Williamson made his IPL debut in 2015 against Chennai Super Kings. Ever since then he has stuck to SRH and has showcased some impressive performances for the team as well. Moreover, he has even led SRH in the IPL 2018, taking the franchise to the finals as well as in 2019 coming fourth, in the absence of the Aussie captain David Warner.
Williamson has so far played 53 matches and 52 innings scoring 1619 runs with a prominent strike rate of 134.8. The right-handed batsmen have 15 fifties in his name with 136 fours and 54 sixes.
The Sunrisers Hyderabad will face Punjab Kings ahead in the 14th match of the IPL 2021. Both the teams have had a rocky start to the tournament and stand in the bottom line of the points table. This would be a perfect time for both teams to hustle and claim a victory.
