Virat Kohli after struggling for runs in slow Chennai wickets was so excited to bat on flat Wankhede wickets that he phased out during the toss and forgot that he won it. Later when he came out to bat chasing the total of 178 he looked a bit rusty in front of Devdutt Padikkal who was in sublime form and was scoring boundaries for fun. While Kohli held his own end and kept the runs ticking till he got to 25 off 23 balls.
He got a move on after hitting a pull to square leg for a boundary, he found his sublime touch and went on complete a magnificent fifty off just 34 balls. He later hit another boundary to reach 6000 runs in IPL the first batsman to do so. At the time Virat hit 3 sixes and 6 fours in his sublime innings and looked like he was back to full flow after a while. The times ahead are exciting for King Kohli fans for sure.
