IPL 2021: Glenn Maxwell’s witty comment on Padikkal’s reverse sweep against Rajasthan Royals

“I haven’t done any work with him yet but I will take some credit because he has hit a couple of them really well. Maxwell on Padikkal’s reverse sweep

Devdutt Padikkal played an aggressive knock scoring his IPL debut hundred. He scored a 101 off 52 balls from start to finish helping RCB win comfortably by 10 wickets accompanied by Virat’s 72 off 47 balls.

Padikkal played some extraordinary shots including a reverse sweep for a boundary. While his fellow mate Glenn Maxwell in a fun interview gave a witty reply when asked about him teaching Dev the reverse sweep.

“I haven’t done any work with him yet but I will take some credit because he has hit a couple of them really well. It’s been nice to have a little contribution thus far. Hopefully will do well in the coming games”. Maxwell replied.

Maxwell also mentioned how he was all geared up to go on the crease but the opening partnership between Kohli and Devdutt was outstanding to spectate. He added on how they were not very satisfied with their bowling despite getting four early wickets in the game they got away.

“We haven’t played our best cricket in all facets of the game. We are never satisfied with our work. We want to improve. Probably didn’t bowl well. We had them 4 down early and then they got away”. Maxwell said.

RCB stands first in the point table after winning 4 comprehensive wins in the tournament. They will now face Chennai Super Kings ahead in the tournament.
