IPL 2021: PBKS vs MI head to head record in previous IPL matches

Mumbai Indians vs Punjab Kings head to head record in previous IPL matches.

The 17th match of IPL 2021 will be played today between Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians at 7.30 pm at MA Chidambaram Stadium.

Mumbai Indians lost their first game but soon returned with a bang having consecutive wins. However, they had to again face a set back as they lost to Delhi Capitals in their previous match.

Nevertheless, MI has a very strong team with Captain himself Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan,  Quinton de kock and Suryakumar Yadav to maintain the batting side and Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult and Rahul Chahar to handle the bowling.

Taking a look at Punjab Kings, they didnt witness a great start as out of four matches played they have won only one and lost three. The team looks to be struggling in all the departments. Both bowlers and batsmen are unable to post a consistent show. Hence, now there are talks of Chris Gayle opening the batting and KL Rahul comming at three. Also there are conversations about bringing back Ravi Bishnoi who played a decent game in IPL 2020.

Let us now have a look at the head to head record of both the teams in previous matches

1)Both the teams have faced each other in 26 matches out of which MI has won 14 and PBKS has won 12.

2)Kieron Pollard has scored 498 and Rohit Sharma has scored 423 runs against PBKS. Captain KL Rahul and player Chris Gayle also has a very good score against MI.

3)Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult continue to be promising bowlers for MI whereas Mohammed Shami and Arshdeep Singh are key bowlers for PBKS.
