Punjab King’s skipper KL Rahul on Monday (30 April) played a winning knock against the RCB at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahemdabad. He scored a furious 91 in 57 balls with an impressive strike rate of 159.65. He punished RCB with seven fours and five maximum. This knock guided Rahul to the top of the orange cap race with 331 runs in seven matches.
Rahul’s inning not only helped Punjab set a target of 180 ahead of Bangalore but also assured them a win after losing their last match against Kolkata Knight Riders. Rahul has so far scored the maximum number of runs for the Punjab franchise since 2018 after his joining. Rahul’s highest IPL individual 132 was also against Banglore last year.
Rahul has so far scored more than 2000 runs in his IPL career with an average of 46.53 including 25 fifties and two hundred.
