IPL 2021: Three members of the Chennai Super Kings including bowling coach Lakshmipathy Balaji tested positive for COVID-19

After KKR, CSK camp now hit by COVID-19. Three members, including support staff member Lakshmipathy Balaji, tested positive for COVID-19

On Sunday after the testing of COVID-19, three members of the Chennai Super Kings’ IPL contingent- CEO Kasi Viswanathan, bowling coachLakshmipathy Balaji, and a bus cleaner – have tested positive for COVID-19. And the rest of the teams which are in Delhi has tested negative.

Former Indian fast bowler Lakshmipathy Balaji was with the team in the dugout on Saturday during the match against Mumbai Indians, when the Super Kings lost the match by 1 run against Mumbai Indians.

It is perceived that Viswanathan, Balaji and the individual from the support staff stepped through a new examination on Monday morning to preclude the chance of a false positive. If they will test positive again then every member with a positive report will have to spend 10 days in quarantine outside the team bubble and they can only return after the two negative tests before re-entering inside the IPL bubble.
