Yuvraj Singh announced his retirement from international cricket last year, capping an outstanding record. Throughout his illustrious career, Yuvi shattered and produced numerous records.
Today, we’ll look at Yuvi’s records from his 19-year career.
1. Yuvraj has been a revelation since he was a child. He’d already made a name for himself as a first-class cricketer, and he wasn’t about to let his shot at international glory pass him by. Yuvraj is the youngest cricketer to score a half-century in an ICC One-Day International. When he was 18 years and 300 days old, he scored 84 against Australia in the 2000 ICC CT.
2. Yuvraj Singh shatters six sixes in Durban during the World T20I. Yuvi accomplished this in The match toward England. Yes, the one where he hit six sixes in one over. In just 12 balls, Singh crossed the 50-run mark. The record has been matched a few times, but no one has yet surpassed it. Yuvraj Singh will be remembered for his six sixes in the T20 World Cup.
3. The first player in the history of the World Cup to achieve more than 300 runs and take 15 wickets in a single edition. Yuvraj Singh was unquestionably India’s World Cup star, averaging an incredible 90.50 in the competition. He was also a productive bowler for the club, taking 15 wickets. The knowledge that he did so when fighting cancer speaks volumes about his ability as a player and as a human.
4. Yuvraj has now become associated with hitting sixes as a result of his feats against England in the 2007 T20I World Cup. When you learn that he is India’s second-highest six-hitter in T20Is, it is unsurprising. In his T20 International career, he has 74 sixes. Yuvraj Singh is now well-known in numerous T20 leagues around the world.
5. International Cricket: Most runs scored off one over. You’ve already read about this case a hundred times, but that’s only a reflection of how important this inning was in Yuvi’s career. His six sixes set a number of records for himself, as well as a couple of questionable ones for Stuart Broad. Along with Herschell Gibbs, Singh holds the record for most runs scored in a single over.
