India agrees to play extra games in the forthcoming white-ball series with Sri Lanka

India agreed to play three more ODIs

India who is currently set to battle in the World Test Championship final is supposed to play a white-ball series against Sri Lanka later. However, India has agreed to play three more ODIs along with three T20 International matches.

India agreed on adding up games to the series to help the National Board overcome the ongoing financial losses. Although BCCI president Sourav Ganguly mentioned in an interview that India will be missing out on the core players during the Lanka tour.

The Lanka tour which was scheduled in June was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic situation throughout the globe and is further planned to take place in July. Sri Lanka too has cricket lined up against England including three ODIs and T20Is respectively starting from June 23 to July 4.
