Kevin Clark, the ‘School of Rock’ actor gets hit by a car, dies at 32

Kevin Clark, famously known for his role in School of Rock got hit by a car. He then succumbed to death at 32.

Kevin Clark was an American actor and musician. He was best known for playing Freddy Jones in the musical comedy film School of Rock. He also had a band called Third Estate in Northbrook, Illinois which broke up in late November 2004. He was a professional percussionist in Chicago.

According to the latest reports, Clark was killed while riding his bicycle along a Chicago street on Wednesday (May 26). He was struck by a car.

The Chicago Police Department crash reported that he was in critical condition when taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center by emergency responders. Clark was struck after running a red light in the city’s Avondale neighbourhood. He was found partially under the car. Kevin was declared dead soon after reaching the hospital.

Actor Jack Black who starred alongside Clark in School of Rock shared that he was shattered on hearing the news. The actor took to Instagram and posted a picture with him.

 

 

He captioned it as, “Devastating news. Kevin is gone. Way too soon. Beautiful soul. So many great memories. Heartbroken. Sending love to his family and the whole School of Rock community.”

Black and Clark reunited at a Tenacious D show in Chicago back in November 2018, where Clark gifted Black a Dreadwolf shirt— custom apparel from Clark’s own band.
