Indian tennis player Sania Mirza can now prepare for the Tokyo Olympics 2021 without any hassle. Sania Mirza is going to Britain to prepare for the tournament. However, due to the changed circumstances of COVID-19, Sania’s two-year-old son was having difficulty in getting a visa.
Sania had requested the Indian government for her son’s visa. Sania’s son’s visa has been approved by the British government as the Indian government has followed Sania’s demand, So now Sania can go to Britain with her child to prepare for the Olympics.
Sania will compete in the Birmingham Open from June 14, the Eastburn Open from June 20, and the Wimbledon from June 28.
Sania Mirza had revealed her depression a few days back. Sania withdrew from the 2008 Olympics in Beijing due to injury. She was then in depression for 3-4 months.
“I was locked in the room for about a month, I used to cry because of anything, “said Sania.
Of course, stubborn Sania has overcome this depression and made a strong comeback and has made the country proud in many competitions.
Sania Mirza is a six-time Grand Slam champion (three in women’s and mixed doubles).
In January 2020, she won her first event after returning, the Hobart Open but since the WTA 1000 Dubai Open in March, the 34-year-old has not competed on tour. Sania also said that it is very tough for athletes and they get mentally drained.
