The beauty queen and actor Sushmita Sen has swayed the hearts of many with her amazing persona and take on beauty. The former Miss Universe, who won a highly competitive pageant 27 years from now in 1994 at a very young age of 18-years, becoming the first woman to ever win Miss Universe from India, talked about her experience as a contestant in a talk show.
The actor explained how shocking it was for her as they announced her as the winner of the pageant. She exclaimed that she considered taking her name off the contest when she got to know that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is also going to a part of it and will be contending opposite to her. According to a news portal, the actress revealed that almost 25 girls had withdrawn knowing Aishwarya will be a part of the pageant.
She added that her mother had been a strong pillar of support encouraging her to contest and give it her best shot without any fear. Sushmita was so sure of not winning and asked her mother to not attend the show as she was convinced that she would lose but eventually, she won the title of Miss India.
