Netizens attacking Ekta Kapoor and other TV celebrities who stood up in support of actor Pearl V Puri after he was framed by a minor under ‘POCSO’ act

Television actor Pearl V Puri is accused by a minor in a rape case. Many Television celebrities have come out in support of the actor, but it seems like celebs and local citizens are not conceding on the same page. Twitter is filled with hefty amount of tweets as the netizens are pleading justice for the minor and #JusticeOverCelebPrivilege is trending on Twitter with 17.8K tweets.

Allying against the TV celebs @_tulipshawx_ wrote, “Whole Itv celebs ganged up against a little girl and came into one conclusion that their friends can’t go wrong in this when he has been arrested with evidence, so these fools think those are false and still they stand with him, like wow, SLOW CLAPS! JUSTICE OVER CELEBS PRIVILEGE.”

Where as @_rghvpllv_ said, “Its not a classroom debate, where one raises hand to support a thing and Nikal pado.. This is a God damn case that ruined an innocent life. Madam Ekta and her so called followers need to open up newspaper before social media. JUSTICE OVER CELEBS PRIVILEGE.”

 

Earlier many celebrities like Hina Khan, producer Ekta Kapoor, Karishma Tanna, Rakhi Sawant came out in support of Naagin actor Pearl V Puri. In a recent Press conference the Vasai Deputy Commisioner of Police, Sanjay Kumar Patil reacted to TV producer Ekta Kapoor’s statement that the actor is innocent.

In a clip of the press conference was shared on Twitter on Saturday (June 5), the DCP conveyed that there is evidence and testimony from the victim to prove the rape assaults, refuting Ekta Kapoor’s claims.

In the video, the DCP said that there was an official complaint filed by the girl’s father at Waliv police station, the case was registered under the The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
