Earlier Today the IMD said that the financial capital is experiencing waterlogging and disruption in local trains and bus services due to heavy rains. The weather department also added that monsoon is likely to be in advance more parts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, some parts of Odisha and more parts of West Bengal during the next two days.
Dr. Jayanta Sarkar, Deputy Director General, IMD Mumbai said, “Monsoon has arrived in Mumbai. The normal arrival date is June 10 every year, but it had arrived prior to nearby arrival date.”

Due to waterlogging Mumbai police advised its commuters to avoid going places such as — Netaji Palkar Chowk, SV Road Baherambaug Junction, Sakkar Panchayat Chowk, Neelam Junction, Govandi, Hindamata Junction, Iqbal Kamani Junction, Dharavi Restaurant, Dharavi, Sion Junction and King Circle. The bus routes are also diverted from these areas.
On Tuesday, IMD said that looking on the weather forecast the thuderstorm are to be accompanied by lighting and winds with heavy rainfall on isolated parts of Mumbai. Raigad, Thane, Pune, Nashik are likely to witness rains with some parts of Marthwada in central Maharashtra

According to TOI, the railways informed that the services have been halted at harbour and central lines. Due to waterlogging local trains has been suspended from Chunnabatti to Vashi station. Also trains have been shut at CSMT- Thane and Sion-Kurla lines because of waterlogging.
BMC also advised commuters to check traffic and waterlogging before heading out.
