Delhi HC terminates SSR's father's petition, '#BoycottBollywood' trends on Twitter

Late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh filed plea seeking restraining of anyone using his son’s name, likeness, images, caricature, personal life and other aspects in any movie.

The Delhi High Court, however on Thursday, dismissed the plea. The court also stayed the release of the movie ‘Nyay: The Justice’, that is purportedly based on Rajput’s life.

After the judgement was passed the audience took off all the aggression on Twitter. The fans of SSR went on board and trending #BoycottBollywood after the Delhi Court refused the petition and it is trending with a hefty 18.8k tweets. Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Meetu Singh tweeted, “Extremely disheartened by the judgement. #JusticeForSushantSinghRajput #SSRinas #SushantSinghRajput”.

The plea phrased that any modification of any story, film or any other venture without the permission of the family or legal heir was a breach of the fundamental right of privacy and ‘personality right of celebrity.’
