Actor Taapsee Pannu is all set for her upcoming film, Haseena Dilruba’s release, However, in a recent interview she reveal that she was not the first choice for the role and the film makers approached her only after they had exhausted all their options.
The film is set to be aired on the OTT platform, Netflix and will feature Vikrant Messey and Harshvardhan Kapoor alongside Taapsee.
The murder mystery is written by Kanika Dhillon and is said to be inspired by the Hollywood psychological crime thriller, Gone Girl.
The film is set for its premiere on Netflix on July 2, 2021.
Taapsee Pannu in an interview with the NavBharat Times revealed that when Kanika approached her with the basic concept and plot of the film, she really liked it. However, Taapse was a bit disheartened when she learnt that she wasn’t the first choice for the crime-thriller.
Speaking about the film, Taapse says that it’s not only beautifully written but also features such prolific roles that any actor should have jumped at the idea of being cast in the movie. She is glad to have been associated with the film as it has made her experiment with an unconventional role. She loved the risk involved in choosing a film that features her in an unconventional role.
