Industry insiders on Tuesday reported that Samsung is expected to disclose its foldable smartphone in August. It too aims to popularize the foldable category in the market.
According to the sources, the tech giant is likely to hold its Galaxy Unpacked online event earlier in the month of August to bring in the Galaxy Z Fold3 and the Galaxy Z Flip3 prior to the launch of the product later in that month. Foreign tech reviewers assumed that the event might occur on August 3. However, the sources confirmed that it is likely to take place later than the assumed date.
Samsung one of the world’s largest smartphone vendor is expected to introduce the Galaxy watch4 smartwatch and Galaxy Buds 2 wireless earbuds at the event. Yonhap news agency quoted a source who informed that the Galaxy S21 FE smartphone will not be introduced at the event.
The Galaxy S21FE is the budget edition of the Galaxy S21 flagship smartphone that was released in the month of January. As per sources, the product is assumed to be launched in September or October as the tech giant is apparently concentrating on promoting foldable device during the summer. Though, nothing has been revealed about Samsung’s upcoming foldable smartphones, tech reviewers are of opinion that the Galaxy Z Fold3 will feature an under display camera and support the S-Pen stylus.
On the other hand, foldable Galaxy Z Flip3 is predicted to have a bigger outer display. These foldable products are assumed to have lighter weight along with a cheaper price than their predecessors.
Earlier Samsung declared that it will establish a unified smartwatch platform with Google. The Galaxy Watch4 smartwatch is foreseen to be powered by Google’s Wear OS. The Galaxy Bud 2 is likely to be budget wireless earbuds without an active noise control pollution.
