Superstar Aamir Khan’s movie blockbuster ‘Lagaan’ has completed 20 years on Tuesday, 15 June. To mark the milestone Aamir Khan held a virtual interaction with a group of journalists a few days ago. The actor produced the film, ‘Lagaan’ under the banner of his production house, Aamir Khan Productions and marks the debut of the production house.

In the interview, he was asked if think that the film could be remade. Aamir replied, “it can be done.” He added, “But I don’t want to make it because Ashutosh (director Ashutosh Gowariker) and I have already made it once. It’ll be boring for us to make the same film again. But if another filmmaker wants to make ‘Lagaan’, Ashutosh and I will be happy to give him or her the rights. They’ll have their own perspective.” He replied almost immediately and said he’d be keen to see which actor would play Bhuvan.

He further said, “I don’t believe in being possessive about my films. I would like to see who will do Bhuvan better than me. I would learn something from it. It’ll be a different film, I’d like to see that, it’ll be charming.”

The film has completed 20 years and is still considered to be one of the most iconic movies produced in Hindi cinema. The movie’s screenplay was written by Gowariker and Sanjay Dayma.
