Indore: Green fungus spotted in COVID-19 recovered patient

A 34 years old COVID-19 survivor was determined to have green fungus disease in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore and moved to Mumbai via air rescue vehicle for treatment, a senior specialist said on Tuesday.

Dr. Ravi Dosi, top of the Department of Chest Diseases, Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences (SAIMS) said that the man, who had recuperated from COVID-19, went through a test on the doubt that he had gotten the feared black fungus contamination (mucormycosis).

In any case, he was rather found to have green fungus growth (Aspergillosis) contamination in his sinuses, lungs and blood.
