Mumbai police tells Bombay High Court about 4 FIRs registered against fake vaccines

On Thursday, Mumbai police told the Bombay High Court mentioning that across Kandivali, Borivali, Khar, Versova and Parel, around 2,000 people were given fake vaccinations for COVID-19 at different camps. Along with the statements of over 400 witnesses being recorded, four FIRs have been registered so far.

With the four separate FIRs registered in this connection, at least nine fabricated camps had been held at places in the city, as said by the state government counsel, chief public prosecutor Deepak Thakare said to the court.  A status report on the ongoing probe was also submitted by the state government before a bench of Chief Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice GS Kulkarni. Along with the investigators being in the process of finding the whereabouts of a doctor who is accused to be a part of the incident that took place at a housing society in Kandivali, statements of over 400 witnesses have been recorded so far.

To get the victims of the fake vaccination tested for any kind of ill effects caused by the fake vaccines, the court accepting the state’s report has asked the state and municipal authorities to take potential measures with regards to the same.

To check the adverse effects on the health of victims of the mentioned nine fake vaccination camps, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) was asked by the court to inform it about what is proposed to be done for the same.
