5 best Zombie movies of all Time

What are the best zombie films ever? Regardless of where you stand on the debate around zombie running speed, selecting the best films for ravenous, flesh-eating ghouls is always a contentious process. There are simply so many horror film greats to select from, and everybody has that hidden gem of rotting skin they think deserves more love. Take a look at the best zombie film ever.

Zombieland

Zombieland is to the zombie genre, what Cabin in the Woods is to horror as a whole. Besides the fact that it makes fun of its staples, however, it offers a fantasy of sorts, and it reflects what individuals, who say they’d thrive in a zombie apocalypse, think would happen offered the chance. It’s a fun, comical film that’s worth being on everybody’s favourite zombie lists; the scene with Bill Murray alone justifies its inclusion.

The Girl with all the Gifts

That time Glenn Close was in a zombie movie. Based on the book of the same name, and helmed by Colm McCarthy, parasitic fungi is infecting humans, and Melanie is a young girl who harbours it without needing to tear out the neck of any individual who gets close. A small crew featuring Dr. Carolin Caldwell (Close) and Helen Justineau (Gemma Arterton) needs to accompany Melanie through London, giving their all to explore the infested capital.

Dawn of the Dead (1978)

Our last entry, and the 3rd part of Romero’s Living Dead trilogy. This is certainly not a ranking, however in the event that it was, Dawn of the Dead would be number one. Romero’s sequel to Night of the Living Dead kept the burgeoning zombie outbreak yet pivoted to Philadelphia, and a new cast of characters. The violence is dialled up, however so is the pathology, and examination of the shambling dead.
