Supreme Court grants permission to lay foundation stone for the new structure

The Supreme Court has decided to grant the permission to lay the foundation stone for the refurbish and to build the government structure on a 3-km stretch from the Rashtrapati Bhavan to India Gate, worth 20,000 crore. The Court said that the party is allowed to proceed with the paperwork, lay the foundation stone,  but no construction/demolition or cutting down of trees as the case is still pending in the court. Earlier the court has decided to reserve its verdict seeking environment grounds.
