A two-year-old girl got attacked by a pitbull in Banaswadi; girl’s father lodges complain

On Monday night, a Pitbull attacked a two-year-old girl at Subbannapalya, which is situated on ITC Road in Banaswadi, seriously injuring her.

The neighbor’s dog bit the girl on the shoulder when she was with her mother at the time. According to The New Indian Express, her mother tried to push the dog away during the attack in an effort to defend her.

The next day, the girl’s father, a new Nepali immigrant, filed a police complaint. Just two months ago, the youngster and her parents—who work at a neighbouring hotel—moved to Bengaluru. At the moment, they are renting a home in Subbannapalya.

The report also stated that the father filed the complaint because the family was upset that the dog’s owner had failed to pay for the girl’s medical care. The defendant, who has two additional dogs and a Rottweiler, is taken for police questioning.

The girl is still being treated, even though it has been stated that her condition is no longer critical. Under Section 291 of the Indian Penal Code, authorities have filed a complaint against the dog owner for animal neglect. The incident is still being investigated.
