Airport Authority of India is about to finalise an arrangement with Indian Airforce to utilise 2.5 acres of land adjacent to Pune Airport for transportation of COVID-19 vaccines by Serum Institute of India. The land is owned by Indian Air Force, and AAI has requested for a land exchange. The airport management is in constant discussions with SII to understand the requirements as it affects the amount of freight that will go out from Pune.
