Soon after 21-year-old climate activist Disha Ravi was arrested for posting the protest toolkit allegedly made by a Khalistani group, arrest warrants have been issued against activists Nikita Jacob and Shantanu for non-bailable offences.
The police claim that the Khalistani organisation named Poetic Justice Foundation (PJF), the brains behind the toolkit, contacted Jacob to organise a ‘tweet storm’ in support of the farmers before Republic Day. Previously, the police arrested Disha Ravi under conspiracy and sedition charges for editing and then sharing the protest toolkit posted by Greta Thunberg. Disha told the court that she herself did not make the toolkit.
Disha’s lawyers weren’t told which court she will be produced in and she had to fight her own case because of this. Lawyer Rebecca John posted about it alleging “shocking abdication of judicial duties.”
