Adani Foundation Donates ₹ 100 Crore to Telangana Government for Skill University 

The Adani Foundation, the Adani Group’s corporate social responsibility arm, gave ₹ 100 crore to the Telangana government for the development of a university to enable young people learn industry-specific skills.

In Hyderabad on Friday, a group headed by Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani met with Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and gave him the cheque.

The Telegana Chief Minister’s office shared on X, “A delegation from Adani Foundation, led by Chairperson of Adani Group, Mr @gautam_adani, met with Hon’ble Chief Minister @revanth_anumula garu to handover a donation cheque of ₹ 100 crore towards the establishment of Young India Skills University.

According to the chief minister’s office, Mr. Adani also pledged to keep supporting the Telangana government’s efforts to empower young people and help them develop their skills.

In order to close the gap between industry demands and academic offers, the Young India Skills University (YISU) was founded in Hyderabad in accordance with the Young India Skills University, Telangana (Public-Private Partnership) Act, 2024, according to its website.

According to the university’s website, it “uses a public-private partnership (PPP) model, in which industry leaders and the Telangana government work together to make sure the curriculum is in line with real-world demands.” Students at YISU are equipped with the real-world skills needed in today’s workforce.
