Adidas has now released the all-new X Speedflow with a Lionel Messi special edition to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the six-time Ballon d’Or winner’s collaboration with the three-stripe brand.
Adidas is commemorating Lionel Messi’s performance by releasing a limited edition +F30-inspired sneaker called ‘El Retorno’. They are also inspired by Messi’s 2006 F30 Tunit boots, which he wore in a Copa del Rey match against Getafe in 2007, where he scored one of his most memorable goals.
Messi's goal vs Getafe in 2007 has been voted FC Barcelona's best ever goal, and it's hard to disagree. Pace, power, control, composure; an early taste of what was to come.
During the 2006/07 season, Lionel Messi scored 17 in 36 appearances.

In terms of technology, this is the first colorway of the next-generation Adidas X Speedflow to be introduced. The Adidas X Ghosted was replaced by the Speedflow. Adidas’ new X Speedflow along with Messi sneakers are priced at €300, which was released on June 4, 2021.
These magnificent cleats also include Messi customization, including an homage to memorable moments in his remarkable career, a MESSI + 10 logo on the tongue, the Argentina flag on the left and right sock liner, and the iconic +F50 logo in Intense Orange on three-stripe branding.
A Carbitex Speedframe was employed to help with propulsion and acceleration on the pitch, while a vacuum fit creates an extremely snug, precise fit that allows for explosive movement. The six-time Ballon d’Or winner will don the commemorative footwear for Copa America, which begins on June 13th.
Seeing possibilities together since 2006.
