 
									Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri, has broken multiple box office records and revived romance in theatres. In just 12 days, the love drama starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda surpassed the foreign collections of the Vicky Kaushal film Chhaava, marking yet another milestone, according to Sacnilk.
According to the trade tracking website, Saiyaara grossed 94 crore internationally in just 12 days after its debut, surpassing the lifetime international revenue of 91 crore for Chhaava, which also featured Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna. With this achievement, the movie has become the highest-grossing Bollywood production of 2025 on the global box office. Other Bollywood films with overseas collections include Sitaare Zameen Par (₹66.75 crore), Murder Mubarak (₹54.00 crore), and Housefull 5 (₹70.25 crore).
Meanwhile, Chhaava, helmed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan, still remains the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025, earning ₹ 807.88 crore worldwide at the box office. Rashmika Mandanna plays Yesubai Bhonsale, Akshaye Khanna plays Emperor Aurangzeb, and Vicky Kaushal plays Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Saiyaara is a romantic musical drama directed by Mohit Suri, who has helmed films such as Aashiqui 2, Murder 2, and Ek Villain.
It is supported by Aditya Chopra’s YRF. It tells the tale of an aspiring journalist (Aneet) and a struggling musician (Ahaan), who fall in love. However, a devastating revelation puts their love to the test.
Audiences have been moved by the film’s poignant story and the performers’ performances. Critics have given it high marks, and celebrities like Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor, Karan Johar, and others have also praised the movie.
