Aircel likely to seek NCLT consent to sell its non-spectrum assets

Aircel is likely to file an appeal in the NCLT seeking permission to sell non-spectrum assets such as fibre, bulk SMS business, etc to profitably use the money to pay salaries and maintenance. About 200 employees  of Aircel are unpaid till date.

Aircel had filed for bankruptcy with NCLT, Mumbai in 2018. But in September 2020, the Supreme Court declared that the decision on spectrum sale is upto NCLAT by Aircel’s creditors.

However, there is no confirmation on the same yet as the company has not released a statement regarding the same.
